Learning about suffering

Bogdan Góralski

The Greek poet Aeschylus in his concise words said that suffering is the only way of wisdom (Toynbee, Ikeda 1999: 76).

Buddha lived 26 centuries ago, and our knowledge has gone forward and that is why we are modifying His teachings today. Buddhism with the science of equality of all beings was a revolution in Hindu caste society. The First Noble Buddha Truth deals with the fact of suffering and its universality, the second shows the source of suffering, which according to Buddha is desire, desire (tanha) (my remark – and yet desire is a source of progress); the third determines the cessation of suffering, consisting in extinction of desires, and finally the fourth shows the way to extinguish the desires, and thus to eliminate suffering (Dajczer 1993: 110).

An extraordinary discovery of the Buddha was to show that the cause of human unhappiness is not external matters and situations, but the very interior of a human being. In the second noble truth, Buddha showed that the source of pain and suffering is desire (desire). The thirst for life, the desire for pleasure, the desire to be and have it (Dejczer 1993: 104).

In my doctrine, I notice that suffering evokes the evolution of the life (ethical) attitude of a creature subjected to suffering. The barrier of suffering posed to man should evoke (and usually evokes) questions about the source of suffering, which may be both the human interior and the external hostile environment. Suffering causes the accumulation of knowledge about its sources, so that it can be avoided and experience happiness, prosperity and nirvana already during earthly life.

Gathering knowledge about the sources of suffering evokes evolutionary and civilization progress, which ultimately leads human society to the Absolute, learning the ultimate truth about the world and its laws, which enables the creation of a new world, multiplication of the chain of beings. Suffering is not an evil to be avoided, suffering accepted voluntarily teaches us and leads us to happiness, which Christ preached. It is necessary to take Fate destined for us and find in it the beauty of life, even this fate the worst, because from every oppression there is some worthy way out to which we have to aim. This pursuit towards the dignity of every being is the beauty of life, and it is our earthly task, and creates our karma – heritage in subsequent lives, in constantly renewed solar systems.

In addition to the Four Noble Truths, the discovery of the theory of “dependent origin” of phenomena (the law of linking twelve reasons) was the second basic content of the Buddha’s experience of the world. This is one of the fundamental rights of the entire Buddhist system. In my theory, I decided to replace them with so-called The wheel of life, which describes the mechanism of the eternal evolution of the world and the birth of each new world.

Circle of life (quote from the book Man and climate, available on the Internet in the CEON Repository)

The world is perpetual motion. It is eternal and in constant, constant motion, renewed goodwill. Wise love – the effect of free will, sustains the world and its duration. Here’s the explanation:

A star is created, its world and life in it. Life depends on the threatening variable environment. Living beings adapt and begin to gather knowledge about environmental threats. The amount of knowledge to be learned requires the evolution of the brain and the specialization of individuals in the resulting communities. The growing specialization of knowledge affects the increase in the strength of social bonds in the endangered (by the environment) society – increase in ethics. The growing knowledge of an ethical society that develops virtual techniques allows for the ultimate understanding of the world and finding energy sources – igniting a new star – probably in a quantum computer. A new star is created, the world, and life in it, and the process begins again and lasts forever ???

THE WHEEL OF LIFE => The function of danger is knowledge. => The function of knowledge is ethics. =>

The function of ethics is energy. => The function of energy is life. => The function of life is the threat => the function of danger is knowledge, etc.

Alfred Toynbee believes that civilization is a species of being that aims to recreate itself by means of the appropriate religion (“Civilization is a species of being which seeks to reproduce itself” (Marciszewski 2001). I agree with Alfred Toynbee.

Mimansa, like most of the brahmana systems, does not accept the existence of the form of an independent, superior creator, according to her, the world does not arise as a result of a creative act, but a process of constant creation and decay (Kudelska 2006: 11). In this case, there are many gods in the Kosmos – many wise and ethical societies, as many star systems as are constantly revived from destruction. Their energy along with knowledge is gathered in the Empty Space, the Vacuum, which is the ultimate reality – the Absolute.
